The Battle Proms are proud to be supporting Combat Stress.
Combat Stress specialises in helping veterans of the Armed Forces and Merchant Navy with psychological injuries caused through service to their country.
Combat Stress have never been busier and are already working with the first veterans of the Iraq War to add to the list of veterans of recent conflicts and peacekeeping operations who currently need their help and support. A collection for Combat Stress will be held at the Battle Proms. |

| Burghley is one of the largest and grandest houses of the Elizabethan age, and has been home to the Cecil Family for over 400 years. Built by William Cecil, Lord High Treasurer to Queen Elizabeth, between 1555-1587, a visit to Burghley transports you back through the centuries as you explore the quarter of a mile of staterooms, containing the breathtaking painted ceilings by Antonio Verrio, including his Heaven Room and Hell Staircase, over 400 paintings, and a wonderful collection of Japanese porcelain. |
| The house is situated in beautiful parkland designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown and is home to a herd of fallow deer. More recently twelve acres have been reclaimed from scrub woodland and transformed into a contemporary Sculpture Garden including lakeside walks and featuring an annual exhibition of vibrant sculpture pieces. |
| Visitor facilities on site include the Burghley Gift Shop packed full of souvenirs, and the superb Orangery Restaurant, now under the first-rate management of the Reid brothers, which meets all catering needs from coffee and cake to a full three course lunch. |
